Bad design makes me crazy. Especially when it is avoidable and could have made this kind of jetsonian machine charming. The breakfast machine promised fresh pancakes and already uses visual cues (an arrow clearly to tell you how to start te process)…how about an arrow telling you where to put your plate so your fresh pancake doesn’t plop on the dirty counter as you stand there, plate in hand.
Lord! Do designers and manufactures ever test their products with humans before rolling then out?? Makes me nuts.
And testing means : leave someone alone, without instructions, and see how it goes. Not stand over them telling them how to use it. Ok. Enough ranting for one morning.
