little edie "best costume for the day" vs. madonna "hung up"
awesome. i've been going through a grey gardens phase again recently so this clip is the perfect zeitgeist.

i'm loving zoot woman's debut cd ("living in a magazine") this week. i never really got into it when it came out (2001), but it's been on every day this week. try holiday home to get you started.

best new restaurant - acadiana
fantastic food (biscuits, meat pies, strong desserts), lots of beer on tap, nice bar. the interior is a little hotel-restaurantish, but the overall experience is great. after dinner with chris and mandy, we hung out at the bar and were treated to a great evening by the fantastic bartender (i can't remember her name -enid? silvia? but i'll make it a point to go back and find her again).

cute stuff from pink. it's a smart angle for her to work - since she ends up looking like a guy when she gets dolled up anyway. this will resonate with a lot of kids - good sales forcasted. she slices and dices 'em in this video...
"i will be skinny!" as she pukes...very funny

that picture of mjb reminded me of a picture of cate i took after the marine corps marathon this fall. she looked beautiful, even though she was understandingly exhausted, soaking up the sun after finishing the race.
she's a bad ass!

ok, it took me 4 years to forgive her for working with ja rule, but mary j is back in my good graces. the breakthrough is a great album. it's like the good ol' days when she was angry and high (her art was better at that time - what can i say). now she seems to have figured out how to be married, rich, happy, and still channel her angst over how hard it is to be the hip hop queen. that's what we want...and weaves, we want lots of weaves. this one is the killer - with the fraulein braid extended and incorporated into the dress.
that's the 411 right there.

nice photography and artwork on the mjb logo by the way.
