wow, the celebrities and their marketing problems are really roiling me up these days.
next in line for a finger wag : britney spears.
britney is suing us weekly over damage to her image from running a story of a possible sex tape (or as defamer called it, "Britney Spears Sues Us Weekly For Kevin's Allowance"). i'm thinking if spears is honestly concerned with damaging her marketable image, she might want to sue herself.

to be fair, here's an example of another actress, meg ryan (granted her plate is not exactly full these days) doing an ad campaign that is an appropriate "level" of brand to align with -baume+mercier. beautiful photography by the way.

geez- is there anything that queen latifah won't sell? first pizza, then (drugstore) makeup, now WALMART??? way to take that oscar nomination to the bank, while you destroy your artistic cred. i think it's funny that her handlers wouldn't let her show her face for those pizza hut ads, but walmart, no problem. way to aim for the middle latifah.

i'm in a group art show this weekend at district fine arts in georgetown. there is a reception on saturday from 6-9pm (1726 Wisconsin Ave)... i hope you can come by for a glass of wine.

annie, don't hide behind your arm! i won't tell anyone you lipsynced your whole concert at the black cat on friday night. it's our little secret. all is forgiven since your cd, anniemal, was one of the best of the year.
if you don't know her, at least download hearbeat and me plus one off of itunes to start with.
by the way, thanks to MC for turning me on to her in the first place. he's my employee of the year.
