load up your ipod for your thanksgiving road trip with gwen stefani's solo album and green day's excellent american idiot. highly recommended. oh, and get a little culture while your at it by picking up a copy of the soundtrack from avenue q - we caught it this weekend in nyc. songs like "the internet is for porn" and "it sucks to be me" will keep you smilig during your turkey tryptophan hangover.

highly recommended - spend an afternoon (including lunch - great cafeteria with a huge menu) at the national museum of the american indian. although half the building is a gift shop (two floors), the current exhibit by george morrison is fantastic, and the building itself is worth a visit. the permanent exhibit is a a bid overwhelming, with the content overshadowed by the neon exhibits themselves.
