go to the stunning new WWII memorial at night - it's amazing. i disagree with any of the architectural criticism it received - it would not have been appropriate to recognize this war with an abstract memorial (like maya lin's vietnam memorial), since this memorial represents a different generation with a more traditional sense of design, and sits in symettrical view of other classical memorials.

ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out: great new cd by the beastie boys : to the 5 boroughs. a little more political commentary and a lot of fun gen x memorabilia... like rhymes that include references to super elastic bubble plastic.

we almost missed it due to the torrential rains, but friday night we caught no doubt out at nissan pavillion - gwen stefani was great, i love seeing a pretty girl that curses like a sailor- but that drive out there makes you swear you'll never return...

alfonso cuaron, the 'y tu mama tambien' director, has done a fantastic job with the latest harry potter movie (i went to a midnight showing last night with a packed house - it was a fun atmosphere). the movie is much darker, naughtier, and funnier than its predecessors, making the first two seem like children's movies.
