i walked disco down by the smithsonian mall today and we checked out the construction of the new american indian museum. daniel cardinal, the architect (at least was the architect before getting fired for missing deadlines...regardless he did the most important job, the concept), has created a beautiful, organic shape to contrast with the formal architecture of the mall. think gehry-meets-falling water. even with the lack of fenestration (probably to protect the museum's artifacts), the undulating waves still make the shell an intriguing form.
