get to the corcoran and check out the beautiful and disturbing exhibit, fantasy underfoot. kojo griffin's eerie canvases, marcel dzama's gorgeously disturbing watercolors, and ken feingold's silicone human heads are the highlights (and there is some crap along the way from some of the other artists...). it's amazing, horrifying, beautiful,disturbing, and elegant. go see it.

the new designs for the world trade center site are up and this time they are truly inspired. you can review the design concepts here. my favorite is by the THINK design team.

read all about the best architectural news dc has had, since the revitilization of downtown, here. the addition of the gehry designed wing at the corcoran and the american indian museum at the smithsonian will hopefully be the catalyst for future experimental and expressional architecture in washington.
